Velocity Service Contract: a B2B marketing charter

Velocity goals

Our goals are to:

  • Be the best B2B marketing agency in the industry by working with the best clients
  • Work with confident clients who really care about doing great strategic and tactical marketing
  • Focus on clients working in information hungry markets – particularly challenger brands or clients at a critical point of change (new management, new product, new strategy, new investors…)
  • Make a measurable difference to our clients’ businesses, principally by accelerating sales and marketing performance
  • Build senior client relationships that endure
  • Enjoy our work
  • Be fairly compensated

Velocity commitments

We promise to:

  • Throw more creative and campaign ideas at you than you can shake a stick at, while working to agreed quarterly goals and plans
  • Base activity on agreed (and budgeted) plans
  • Prove the value of what we do by measuring and communicating results
  • Quote every job in advance and stick to that quote
  • Be totally transparent about mark-ups covering sourcing and managing of third-parties
  • Respond to client concerns, criticisms and complaints with honesty, openness and a self-critical mindset
  • Treat clients’ confidential information as if it were our own.

Velocity expectations

Once clients accept a proposal, they agree:

  • To the payment schedule set out in the proposal
  • To pay all bills within 30 days of them being issued, unless otherwise set out in the proposal
  • To a minimum of three months notice to terminate any retainer relationship (Velocity also makes this commitment)
  • To pay in advance for all third party or out-of-pocket costs
  • That until we have received payment, all creative, ideas and content remain the property of Velocity

Sound fair?

It means marketers have to be more creative when promoting products or services, and not just resort to bare-faced lies.
