A Busy Month: helping the world get smarter

Doing technology marketing for a wide range of interesting clients means you never know what’s around the corner.

We couldn’t have predicted it but Velocity came out of October having…

  • Written a new marketing Playbook (positioning, messages, product names, stories, proof points, sound bites…) for The Bunker, the ultra-secure managed services and application hosting company.
  • Developed another Playbook for Bright Green Technology, a company that’s dramatically reducing the carbon footprint of all those illuminated advertising displays in the world (forget fluorescents, think LED).
  • Created an Applications Handbook for ip.access, the pioneers in mobile over IP, then promoted it through email marketing and a pay-per-click campaign.

All three are examples of helping the world get smarter — in the way they build and host their web apps; in the way they light their ad displays; in the way they deliver mobile spectrum to hard-to-reach places.

B2B marketing is less about ethereal branding and more about making solid business cases that people can’t resist. We capture these in Playbooks, then drive them to market using Web Relations campaigns (search marketing, pay-per-click, email, online PR…) and offline campaigns (direct mail, advertising, events).

Wonder what November will bring.
